AUXILIARY LANES
New ramp-to-ramp lanes (also called auxiliary lanes) along I-5 that allow drivers to enter the highway without having to merge into through traffic, reducing frequent crashes.
HIGHWAY SHOULDERS
Full shoulders along I-5 to create space for disabled vehicles to move out of through traffic, allow buses and emergency vehicles to travel more quickly, and keep people moving.
HIGHWAY COVERS
Covers over the highway where bridges cross over I-5 to provide space for roads and sidewalks, and area for separated bike lanes and community spaces.
Hancock-Dixon Connection
A new overcrossing at N Hancock Street and N Dixon Street to provide a direct connection to the Lower Albina neighborhood.
I-5 Southbound Ramp Relocation
Relocating the I-5 southbound on-ramp from NE Wheeler Avenue to NE Weidler Street to reduce interactions between vehicles and people who walk and bike as vehicles enter I-5.
Clackamas Bike & Pedestrian Crossing
A new bicycle- and pedestrian-only bridge over I-5 from NE Clackamas Street to N Ramsay Way that creates a critical connection from Lloyd area to the Willamette River.
