Where: I-5 Bridge Structures over NE Oregon St near Oregon Convention Center

Planned closure schedule:

  • 10/13-10/16: North sidewalk and lane on NE Oregon St underneath I-5.
  • 10/17-10/22: South sidewalk and lane on NE Oregon St underneath I-5.

For the remainder of 2025, travelers can expect:

  • Temporary sidewalk and lane closures on local streets near the Oregon Convention Center, including NE Oregon Street and N Interstate Ave, for seismic upgrades and sign structure work.
  • Occasional closures of the I-84 westbound off-ramp to Moda Center and the Oregon Convention Center for sign structure work.
  • Occasional nighttime lane closures and possible shoulder closures on I-5 to construct stormwater facilities.
  • More traffic impacts are expected in 2026 when bridge preservation, merge lane extension, and sign structure installation work begins.
